Introduction

About this manual

This manual contains the information needed to operate FloorRiser Active by SitnStand. Please read and understand this manual before operating the FloorRiser Active. If any part of this manual is unclear, contact your supplier or Life Assistant customer service for clarification.

FloorRiser Active product overview

The SitnStand FloorRiser Active is a portable inflatable cushion that is safe, simple and easy to operate, designed to assist people who have falling issues and help them get from a sitting position on the floor to a sitting/standing position with the help of a caregiver, spouse or an EMS team. It is comprised of an electronic control system, multiple air valves, multiple air-sealed layers, a rechargeable battery and an air pump that inflate or deflate as required to assist in standing up with minimal help needed. Each phase of inflation and/or deflation is controlled by the user or caregiver, spouse or EMS team by pushing a button. Suitable for the home healthcare and emergency medical services (EMS) environment / ambulances.

EMC statement

Electromagnetic compatibility declarations and test tables, as required for medical electrical equipment. Mainly relevant for institutions, installers and regulators.

Warnings

WARNING: Use of this equipment adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided as it may result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, this equipment and the other equipment should be observed to verify that they are operating normally.

WARNING: The use of accessories, transducers and cables other than those specified or provided by the manufacturer of this equipment may result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic immunity of this equipment, resulting in improper operation.

WARNING: Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) from any part of the FloorRiser, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, degradation of the performance of this equipment may occur.

WARNING: The Essential Performance includes controlled inflation/deflation and prevention of unintended motion. If Essential Performance is lost or degraded due to severe EM disturbances, the device will safely halt operation without sudden pressure loss. The operator should reset the device using the power switch once away from the EM source.

WARNING: Temporary flicker of status LEDs or a minor delay in button response time (< 2 seconds) during high EM exposure is considered acceptable degradation and does not affect basic safety or essential performance.

WARNING: If electromagnetic interference is experienced, the operator should increase the physical distance between the FloorRiser and the interfering equipment, or relocate the device to an area with lower EM disturbance. The maximum recovery time following a transient phenomenon is less than 2 seconds (automatic self-recovery).
