Our Unfair Advantages Over The Competition

We heard your complaints about the competition and built the perfect solution

+
All-Day Comfort

All-Day Comfort

Designed for extended sitting without discomfort or back pain

+

Unlike users who complain of "extremely uncomfortable," "too hard," and "makes your back ache horribly" during extended use with our competitors products, SitnStand is specifically engineered for comfortable, pressure-relief seating. You can watch TV for hours, work at your desk, or relax without any discomfort - making it perfect for daily living, not just transfers.

+
100% Reliable Performance

100% Reliable Performance

Consistent lift assistance every single time with battery power

+

Competitor customers report "Does not help lift," "stays flat," and "only works after you push up yourself." SitnStand eliminates these failures with 100% gradual lift assistance powered by a reliable Li-Ion battery. Four precise inflation levels ensure consistent performance every time - no mechanical springs to fail, no guesswork, just dependable assistance when you need it.

+
Superior Safety

Superior Safety

Vertical Lift Technology prevents falls and balance issues

+

Competing product users report dangerous "feeling of being off balance," falling backwards, and injury from sudden movements. SitnStand's patented Vertical Lift Technology™ with No Catapult Lift ensures safe, controlled, gradual movement. No sudden jerks, no balance disruption, no risk of falling backwards - just smooth, predictable assistance that keeps users stable and secure throughout the entire transfer.

+
Effortless Operation

Effortless Operation

Simple remote control - no complex manual adjustments required

+

The competiton requires users to "stand the unit on edge," struggle with "difficult to open and adjust" mechanisms, and manually set spring tensions. SitnStand eliminates all this frustration with simple installation requiring no assembly, plus an intuitive remote control for all adjustments. No physical strength needed for setup, no complicated mechanisms - just place it on any chair and operate with the touch of a button.

+

True Independence

Perfect for users with limited mobility or arm strength

+

The competition fails users who are "truly disabled," requiring "two good arms to push up" and causing injuries like the customer whose mother "fell backwards and cried from pain." SitnStand provides complete 100% lift assistance requiring zero user effort. Perfect for users with broken limbs, limited mobility, Parkinson's, IBM, MS, arthritis or any condition affecting strength - true independence without risk of injury or the need for caregiver assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn about core functionality and how the device works

SitnStand is a portable mobility assistance device that converts any chair into a lift chair. It uses patented Vertical Lift Technology (VLT™) featuring multi-layer pneumatic air bladders that inflate in a controlled sequence to lift users up to 8 inches vertically, making standing easier and safer. Unlike traditional lift chairs that propel users forward, SitnStand provides true vertical lift while keeping feet on the ground.

The system uses specially designed airtight materials with minimal elasticity that inflate in layers to provide structural support. The proprietary valve system delivers 150 liters per minute of airflow while maintaining consistent 5 mH2O (7.11 PSI) pressure. The controlled inflation sequence takes approximately 20 seconds and operates at less than 70 dB for quiet operation.

Yes – this is the key advantage. Traditional lift chairs cost $800+ and only work in one location. SitnStand Lift Assist Classic weighs just 8.8 pounds, deflates to only 0.4 inches thick, and works on dining chairs, sofas, wheelchairs, garden chairs, etc anywhere around your house.

SitnStand provides true vertical lift without forward catapulting, which reduces fall risk. It's battery-powered (no cords to trip over), has a 400-pound weight capacity, and features patented technology developed over 10+ years of research. Most importantly, it maintains user dignity by enabling independent transfers.

Critical safety requirements:

  • Both feet must be flat on floor before activation
  • Maximum weight limit: 400 pounds
  • Never operate while standing or walking
  • Ensure stable chair placement before use
  • Keep remote control accessible but secure
  • Don't use on unstable or broken furniture

Compatible seating:

  • Dining chairs with firm seats
  • Recliners and armchairs
  • Sofas with adequate depth
  • Wheelchair seats (with proper attachment)
  • Restaurant chairs and booths
  • Airplane seats (Compact model is TSA-approved)

Avoid using on:

  • Unstable or wobbly chairs
  • Chairs with broken or weak frames
  • Extremely soft surfaces that compress significantly
  • Bar stools or chairs without back support
  • Center device on seat with user's weight distributed evenly
  • Drape back flap over chair back, mold sides
  • Position remote control within easy reach
  • Test inflation/deflation before user sits

Important restrictions:

  • Don't lean forward excessively during operation
  • Don't try to stand before device fully stopped inflating
  • Avoid using in wet environments
  • Don't attempt repairs or modifications
  • Don't use if experiencing dizziness or instability
  • Weight Capacity: 400 lbs (180 kg)
  • Deflated Size: 16 x 21 x 0.4 inches (40 x 53 x 1 cm)
  • Fully Inflated Size: 16 x 19 x 10 inches (40 x 48 x 25 cm)
  • Lift Height: Up to 8 inches in 2-inch increments
  • Product Weight: 8.8 lbs

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts 3-5 days per charge depending on usage frequency. Charging takes 4-6 hours with the included wall charger (100-240V compatible). The battery slides easily into place and can be removed even with arthritic hands. LED indicators show battery status and operation mode.

Classic for Home ($599): Features a long cloth back flap with moldable sides and washable seat cover. Best for home furniture like dining chairs, sofas, and recliners.

Compact for Travel ($599): Same functionality but ultra-lightweight design with included backpack. TSA-compliant for airline travel, perfect for restaurants, theaters, and social outings.

Wheelchair Model ($599): Includes 2-inch viscoelastic memory foam cushion for extended sitting comfort. Specifically engineered for wheelchair compatibility with adjustable strapping system.

All models feature a simple remote control with up/down arrows. The Classic and Compact have 4 inflation levels, while the Wheelchair model has 3 levels. The system includes automatic pressure control, emergency reset function (press both buttons for 10 seconds), and quiet operation under 70 dB.

Potential causes and solutions:

  • Uneven weight distribution - recenter user on device
  • Furniture instability - check chair/wheelchair stability
  • Partial air leak - contact support
  • Low battery - charge fully and test again
  • Damaged remote -contact support

Fitting solutions:

  • Classic model works best on chairs with backs for draping support
  • Adjust positioning - try different placement angles
  • Chair compatibility - works best when feet can be flat on floor
  • Some furniture types may not be compatible - check with support

SitnStand significantly reduces manual handling and lifting requirements for caregivers. Instead of providing physical assistance or using transfer belts, caregivers can simply help position the device and let the user stand independently. This reduces back injury risk for caregivers while maintaining user dignity and autonomy.

Yes, when used properly. The device provides true vertical lift that keeps feet on the ground for better stability. However, users should have both feet flat on the floor before activation, and someone should be present during initial learning. The 20-second lift time allows users to adjust their position safely.

While the controls are simple (just up/down arrows), users need to understand basic safety procedures. Family members with mild cognitive impairment may use it successfully with supervision. For moderate to severe cognitive decline, caregiver assistance with operation is recommended, but the device can still reduce physical lifting requirements.

Absolutely. The 400-pound weight capacity and adjustable height settings accommodate users of different sizes. The device works on various chair types throughout the home, making it practical for multiple family members with different mobility needs.

Ideal candidates can walk short distances but struggle with the sitting-to-standing transition due to muscle weakness, joint pain, or balance issues. They should be able to follow simple instructions and operate a basic remote control. The 60-day satisfaction guarantee allows families to try it risk-free.

Primary conditions that benefit:

  • Arthritis (especially hip and knee)
  • Neuromuscular diseases (ALS, MS, muscular dystrophy)
  • Parkinson's disease and movement disorders
  • Post-surgical recovery (joint replacement, spinal surgery)
  • Inclusion Body Myositis and other inflammatory muscle conditions
  • General muscle weakness from aging or illness
  • Balance disorders that make standing transitions risky

Very suitable for post-operative recovery, especially after hip, knee, or back surgery when patients need to limit bending and strain. It maintains independence during recovery while reducing stress on healing surgical sites. Always consult with the surgical team before use.

SitnStand is designed for people who retain some walking ability but struggle with the sit-to-stand transition. It's not suitable for individuals who are completely bedridden or unable to bear weight on their legs. For severe mobility limitations, a hoyer lift or similar patient lift may be more appropriate.

Current contraindications include:

  • Pressure ulcer patients (current model not designed for this population)
  • Complete inability to bear weight on legs
  • Severe cognitive impairment preventing safe operation
  • Latex allergies (device contains natural rubber latex)
  • Inability to maintain sitting balance

Current pricing: $599 (regularly $699, saving $100). This includes the device, rechargeable battery, wall charger, remote control, and for the Compact model, a carrying backpack. All models come with a 2-year full warranty and 60-day satisfaction guarantee with free shipping and returns.

To qualify for Medicare coverage of lift mechanisms:

  • Severe arthritis of hip/knee OR severe neuromuscular disease
  • Complete inability to stand from regular chair without assistance
  • Ability to walk once standing (with or without assistive devices)
  • Face-to-face physician examination within 6 months
  • Form CMS-849 (Certificate of Medical Necessity) completed by doctor
  • Device must be part of physician's treatment plan

If covered, Medicare pays 80% of approved amount after $257 deductible (2025 rates). Patients pay 20% coinsurance plus any amount above Medicare's approved rate. Since SitnStand costs $599 and traditional lift mechanisms are valued around $300-500, significant out-of-pocket costs are likely.

Private insurance coverage varies widely. Some plans may cover durable medical equipment with physician prescription. Medicaid may provide coverage in some states. Amazing product that WORKS!

The Classic Sit and Stand is a daily miracle. I've tried many different standing aids with utter failure. After almost a year of struggling to get up off a chair/couch without severe pain in my knee and arms, this is a miracle!!
I can NOW get up without using my arms and with little to no PAIN. Amazing!

Lift Assist is a must have!

I was having difficulties trying to get my husband who is 6’1” 250 lbs up from his wheelchair without hurting myself or him. About 3 years ago I came across the assist lift for the wheelchair. OMG finally I found a device that works! It’s amazing i have no more problems getting him up and out of the wheelchair. I recently bought the classic chair lift. Now he can sit with us at the dinner table instead of sitting in his wheelchair. I’m going to bring it with us when going to sit outside at the community pool. Do not hesitate buying a lift assist product, you won’t be sorry. It’s great.

It helps me a lot in assisting my wife to stand up from recliner chair and pivot to sit in transport chair. Device is easy to move between our two recliner chairs also.
