Our Unfair Advantages Over The Competition

We heard your complaints about the competition and built the perfect solution

+
All-Day Comfort

All-Day Comfort

Designed for extended sitting without discomfort or back pain

+

Unlike customers of competing products who complain of "extremely uncomfortable," "too hard," and "makes your back ache horribly" during extended use, SitnStand is engineered for comfortable, pressure-relief seating. You can go to the movies, eat at your favorite restaurant, or relax without any discomfort - making it perfect for daily active living, not just transfers.

+
100% Reliable Performance

100% Reliable Performance

Consistent lift assistance every single time with battery power

+

Competing product users report "Does not help lift," "stays flat," and "only works after you push up yourself." SitnStand eliminates these failures with 100% gradual lift assistance powered by a reliable Li-Ion battery. Four precise inflation levels ensure consistent performance every time - no mechanical springs to fail, no guesswork, just dependable assistance when you need it.

+
Superior Safety

Superior Safety

Vertical Lift Technology prevents falls and balance issues

+

Other product users report dangerous "feeling of being off balance," falling backwards, and injury from sudden movements. SitnStand's patented Vertical Lift Technology™ with No Catapult Lift ensures safe, controlled, gradual movement. No sudden jerks, no balance disruption, no risk of falling backwards - just smooth, predictable assistance that keeps users stable and secure throughout the entire transfer.

+
Effortless Operation

Effortless Operation

Simple remote control - no complex manual adjustments required

+

Competing products requires users to "stand the unit on edge," struggle with "difficult to open and adjust" mechanisms, and manually set spring tensions. SitnStand eliminates all this frustration with simple installation requiring no assembly, plus an intuitive remote control for all adjustments. No physical strength needed for setup, no complicated mechanisms - just place it on any chair and operate with the touch of a button.

+

True Independence

Perfect for users with limited mobility or arm strength

+

The competition fails users who are "truly disabled," requiring "two good arms to push up" and causing injuries like the customer whose mother "fell backwards and cried from pain." SitnStand provides complete 100% lift assistance requiring zero user effort. Perfect for users with broken limbs, limited mobility, Parkinson's, or any condition affecting strength - true independence without risk of injury or the need for caregiver assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn about core functionality and how the device works

The SitnStand Lift Assist Compact is a portable, battery-powered lift cushion that converts any chair into a personal lift chair. It uses patented Vertical Lift Technology (VLT™) to raise you up to 8 inches vertically, making standing easier and safer. Unlike traditional lift chairs that propel you forward, the Compact provides true vertical lift while keeping your feet firmly on the ground for better stability.

Traditional lift chairs cost $800+ and only work in one location. The Compact weighs just 6.6 pounds, deflates to only 0.4 inches thick, and works on restaurant chairs, theater seats, park benches, airplane seats, and virtually any seating. It comes with a travel backpack and is TSA-compliant for air travel.

The Compact is specifically designed for active lifestyles. It's discreet enough for restaurants, quiet enough for theaters, and airline-approved for travel. The included backpack makes transport effortless, and the compact design means you can maintain your independence at family gatherings, sporting events, parks, and anywhere life takes you.

The system uses specially designed airtight materials that inflate in controlled layers to provide structural support. The 4-level inflation system delivers precise lift heights (2", 4", 6", or 8") in approximately 20 seconds, operating quietly at less than 70 dB. The vertical lift prevents the dangerous forward catapulting common with other devices.

The Compact eliminates the anxiety of wondering "Will I be able to stand up?" when going places. Whether it's dining out with friends, attending sporting events, visiting family, or traveling, you have reliable assistance wherever you go. This confidence often leads to increased social participation and improved quality of life.

The Compact is designed to be discreet. Its neutral appearance and quiet operation mean most people won't even notice you're using assistance. Many users report feeling more confident in social situations because they're not struggling visibly with standing or requiring help from others.

Perfect for outdoor use. The durable construction handles park benches, outdoor concert seating, sporting events, and patio furniture. The backpack provides protection during transport to outdoor venues.

Instead of being limited to one specific chair at family gatherings, you can join everyone at the dining table, sit comfortably in the living room, or participate fully in outdoor activities. Hosts don't need to worry about having the "right" chair for you - any reasonably stable seating becomes accessible.

The Compact is comfortable for extended sitting during long events. The design doesn't create pressure points or discomfort during 2-3 hour performances. The quiet operation means it won't disturb others during quiet moments in theaters or churches.

Essential safety guidelines:

  • Both feet flat on floor before activation
  • Maximum weight: 400 pounds
  • Never operate while standing or walking
  • Ensure chair stability before use - avoid wobbly seating
  • Keep remote accessible but secure
  • Be considerate of others in quiet venues like theaters

Setup for various seating types:

  1. Restaurant chairs: Center device on seat, use arms for extra stability
  2. Theater seats: Position for optimal leg room and quiet operation
  3. Airplane seats: Follow airline guidelines, inform flight attendants. We recommend asking for aisle seats to facilitate positioning
  4. Outdoor seating: Check stability, protect from moisture
  5. Family homes: Works on most furniture - dining chairs to recliners

Public use restrictions:

  • Don't use on obviously unstable seating
  • Avoid during quiet moments in theaters or religious services
  • Don't leave unattended in public spaces
  • Be mindful of noise in quiet environments
  • Don't use if chair is damaged or unsafe

Airplane safety protocol:

  • Inform flight attendants you have a medical mobility device
  • Use during appropriate times (not during takeoff/landing)
  • Follow crew instructions if asked to deflate
  • Be considerate of neighboring passengers
  • Keep remote easily accessible

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 4 days on a single charge, depending on usage frequency. Perfect for weekend getaways or extended travel. The Compact features a simple remote control with up/down arrows for easy operation. 4 inflation levels provide customized assistance (2", 4", 6", 8" lift heights). The system includes automatic pressure control and quiet operation under 70 dB - perfect for public settings.

Yes, absolutely TSA-compliant. The Compact meets all airline regulations for lithium-ion battery devices. We provide an official battery safety certification document required for air travel. The device has been successfully used on domestic and international flights without issues. Many customers report seamless airport security experiences.

Pre-flight preparation:

  1. Download and print the TSA battery certification document from our website
  2. Fully charge the battery before departure
  3. Pack in the included backpack for easy transport
  4. Battery can remain installed or be removed for separate screening
  5. Inform security it's a medical mobility device if questioned
  6. Works perfectly on airplane seats for easier standing during flight

Designed for discreet public use. The compact design and quiet operation (under 70 dB) make it suitable for restaurants, theaters, churches, and social gatherings. The neutral appearance doesn't draw unwanted attention. Many users report feeling more confident dining out and attending events knowing they have reliable assistance.

Compatible with most public seating:

  • Restaurant chairs (especially with arms for extra stability) and booths
  • Theater and auditorium seats
  • Park benches and outdoor furniture
  • Airplane seats (TSA-approved)
  • Hotel and lobby seating
  • Family and friends' home furniture

Less suitable for:

  • Very soft couches that compress significantly
  • Unstable or damaged chairs
  • Bar stools without back support

The universal charger (100-240V) works worldwide with appropriate plug adapters. 4-day battery life means you typically only need to charge every few days. Many users charge overnight at hotels. The removable battery design allows charging separately from the device if needed.

Normal operation is under 70 dB (conversation level), but some users find it noticeable in very quiet environments like churches. Increased noise might indicate:

  • Overloading - check 400 lb weight limit
  • Air intake blockage - contact support
  • Low battery - charge fully and test
  • Some noise increase is normal over time

It is worth noting that the sound level appears reduced in outdoor settings compared to indoor environments.

Travel factors affecting battery life:

  • Temperature extremes during transport
  • More frequent use in unfamiliar seating
  • Age of battery - consider replacement after 2+ years
  • Charging interruptions during travel
  • Solution: Charge nightly during trips, bring charger

Chair compatibility factors:

  • Very soft seating reduces effectiveness
  • Unstable chairs create safety issues
  • Chair arms actually improve stability and effectiveness
  • Seat depth affects positioning - deeper seats may need adjustment
  • Try different positioning before assuming malfunction

Airport security solutions:

  • Show TSA certification document (available on our website)
  • Explain it's a medical mobility device
  • Demonstrate it's battery-powered (similar to laptop)
  • Offer to power it on if requested
  • Be patient and cooperative - most agents are helpful once informed
  • Contact our support if you encounter repeated issues

The Compact eliminates the need for caregivers to provide physical lifting assistance in public settings. Instead of worrying about helping someone stand from restaurant chairs or theater seats, caregivers can simply help position the device and let the user stand independently. This reduces physical strain on caregivers while maintaining the user's dignity in social situations.

When used properly, yes. The device provides true vertical lift that keeps feet on the ground for better stability. However, caregivers should supervise initial use in new environments and ensure the user understands basic safety procedures. The 20-second lift time allows users to adjust their position safely during activation.

Absolutely. The 400-pound weight capacity and 4-level height adjustment accommodate users of different sizes. The travel backpack makes it easy to move between family members during group outings, vacations, or family gatherings. This makes it cost-effective for families with multiple people who need assistance.

Caregivers can assist by checking chair stability, helping position the device properly, and ensuring the remote is within easy reach. In restaurants, request chairs with arms when possible for added stability. The discreet design means most people won't notice the assistance, preserving the user's dignity.

Users need to understand basic safety procedures and remote operation. For mild cognitive impairment, supervision during setup is usually sufficient. For more significant cognitive challenges, caregivers should operate the device while still allowing the user to benefit from the independence of standing without physical assistance.

The Compact eliminates one of the biggest travel anxieties - wondering if your family member will be able to stand from airplane seats, hotel furniture, or restaurant chairs. Knowing they have reliable assistance wherever you go reduces caregiver stress and allows everyone to enjoy travel and social activities more fully.

Ideal for active individuals with:

  • Arthritis (especially hip and knee) who want to maintain social activities
  • Inclusion Body Myositis and other inflammatory muscle conditions
  • Post-surgical recovery patients who don't want to miss social events
  • Parkinson's disease patients who travel or dine out regularly
  • Muscle weakness from aging but who maintain active lifestyles
  • Balance issues that make standing transitions risky in public
  • Fluctuating mobility that varies throughout the day

Absolutely perfect for frequent travelers. The TSA-compliant design, 6.6-pound weight, and 4-day battery life make it ideal for business trips, vacations, and visiting family. Many users report it's transformed their ability to travel independently and comfortably.

Designed for fluctuating abilities. On good days, you might not need maximum lift; on challenging days, you can use full 8-inch assistance. The 4-level adjustment lets you customize support based on how you're feeling, and having it available reduces anxiety about unpredictable mobility challenges.

The Compact allows you to maintain social connections during recovery without putting strain on healing surgical sites. Whether it's a lunch date, family gathering, or medical appointment, you can participate more fully while protecting your recovery process.

Current pricing: $599 (regularly $699). This includes the complete travel package: device, backpack, battery, charger, remote, and user manual. 2-year full warranty and 60-day satisfaction guarantee with free shipping and returns.

Limited Medicare coverage may be available. Medicare Part B sometimes covers the lifting mechanism portion of mobility devices when prescribed by a physician for specific conditions (severe arthritis or neuromuscular disease). Since the Compact is newer technology, coverage isn't guaranteed. Work with a Medicare-enrolled DME supplier for best chance of partial coverage.

We offer flexible payment plans through Affirm based on your purchasing power, allowing you to split your purchase into manageable monthly installments. The 60-day satisfaction guarantee lets you try before fully committing. HSA/FSA funds may be used if prescribed by a physician for medical necessity.

Many users find the cost quickly pays for itself in restored social participation. Instead of declining dinner invitations, missing family events, or avoiding travel, the Compact lets you maintain your active lifestyle. The 2-year warranty and 60-day guarantee protect your investment.

I feel that Lift Assist Compact is too heavy for travel purposes

I feel that Lift Assist Compact is too heavy for travel purposes. We also are having problems using it with a recliner chair. Although the concept is a good one, it is taking a lot to get use to it.

I have IBM and could not carry it. If the shoulder strap was longer it would fit over the shoulder better. Overall I think it's a good product. I can't use it as intended, but I use it at the kitchen table.

Lift Assist

Our daughter has trouble standing up from a seated position. This was a lifesaver on our vacation. A relief for her and us. It worked very well and allowed her to stand up without much effort. Highly recommend!
