Our Unfair Advantages Over The Competition

We heard your complaints about the competition and built the perfect solution

+
Superior Wheelchair Comfort

Superior Wheelchair Comfort

2-inch memory foam plus lift technology for all-day comfort in your wheelchair

+

Unlike competing products where users complain of "extremely uncomfortable," "too hard," and "makes your back ache horribly" during extended use, the SitnStand Wheelchair model combines our patented lift technology with a 2-inch viscoelastic memory foam cushion. This dual-purpose design provides pressure relief for extended sitting while delivering reliable lift assistance - perfect for wheelchair users who spend hours seated daily.

+
100% Reliable Performance

100% Reliable Performance

Consistent lift assistance every single time with battery power

+

Other lift assist users report "Does not help lift," "stays flat," and "only works after you push up yourself." SitnStand eliminates these failures with 100% gradual lift assistance powered by a reliable Li-Ion battery. Three precise inflation levels ensure consistent performance every time - no mechanical springs to fail, no guesswork, just dependable assistance when you need it most for wheelchair transfers.

+
Superior Safety

Superior Safety

Vertical Lift Technology prevents falls and balance issues during transfers

+

Users of other lift devices report dangerous "feeling of being off balance," falling backwards, and injury from sudden movements during wheelchair transfers. SitnStand's patented Vertical Lift Technology™ with No Catapult Lift ensures safe, controlled, gradual movement. No sudden jerks, no balance disruption, no risk of falling backwards - just smooth, predictable assistance that keeps wheelchair users stable and secure throughout transfers.

+
Effortless Operation

Effortless Operation

Simple remote control designed specifically for wheelchair users

+

Other products require users to "stand the unit on edge," struggle with "difficult to open and adjust" mechanisms, and manually set spring tensions - nearly impossible from a wheelchair. SitnStand eliminates all this frustration with simple installation requiring no assembly, plus an intuitive remote control designed for easy wheelchair access. No physical strength needed for setup, no complicated mechanisms - just secure to your wheelchair and operate with the touch of a button.

+

True Independence for Wheelchair Users

Perfect for wheelchair transfers without caregiver assistance

+

Other lift assists fail wheelchair users who are "truly disabled," requiring "two good arms to push up" and causing injuries during transfers. SitnStand provides complete 100% lift assistance requiring zero user effort - ideal for transferring to beds, toilets, other chairs, or standing for short periods. Perfect for users with limited upper body strength, spinal injuries, or any condition affecting transfer ability - true independence without risk of injury or constant caregiver assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn about core functionality and how the device works

The SitnStand Wheelchair model is a dual-purpose device that combines a 2-inch viscoelastic memory foam cushion with our patented Vertical Lift Technology. Unlike other models that are purely lift devices, this provides comfortable seating for extended wheelchair use PLUS reliable lift assistance for transfers. It's specifically engineered to fit wheelchairs and assist with transfers to beds, toilets, other chairs, or standing.

The device adapts to any type of wheelchair (manual or power, 17-21" wide seats). The air supply unit threads through the gap in your wheelchair seat, secured with adjustable straps. The memory foam cushion sits on top of your regular seat cushion or replaces it entirely, providing both comfort and lift functionality when needed.

Wheelchair users spend hours seated daily, making comfort crucial for preventing pressure sores and maintaining quality of life. The 2-inch memory foam provides pressure relief and contours to your body, while the lift bladder underneath activates only when needed. This dual-layer design offers the best of both worlds - comfortable daily seating and reliable transfer assistance.

The system uses 3 inflation levels (unlike 4 in other models) to provide precise lift heights up to 8 inches. The vertical lift keeps your feet on the ground during transfers, providing stability and safety. The 20-second inflation time allows you to position yourself properly, and the system maintains pressure until you're ready to deflate.

Installation steps:

  1. Remove existing cushion if present
  2. Thread air supply unit through gap in wheelchair seat back
  3. Secure with adjustable straps around wheelchair frame
  4. Position SitnStand on seat
  5. Attach remote control to wheelchair arm or accessible location (optional)
  6. Test all functions before first use

No tools required. The system uses adjustable straps and clips that work with most wheelchair designs. Some users find it helpful to have someone assist with threading the air supply unit, but the entire setup is designed for tool-free installation and removal.

Yes, completely removable. The straps and connections allow you to remove the entire system for cleaning, travel, or wheelchair maintenance. No permanent modifications to your wheelchair are required. Many users remove it for transport or when others use the wheelchair temporarily.

Contact our support team for specific wheelchair compatibility questions. We can provide guidance for recliners, bariatric models, or wheelchairs with unusual seat configurations. Custom strapping solutions may be available for special cases.

Critical safety requirements:

  • Lock wheelchair brakes before every use
  • Both feet flat on floor before activation
  • Ensure wheelchair stability - check for wear or damage
  • Clear path for standing - remove obstacles
  • Never operate while moving or on inclines
  • Weight limit 400 pounds including user and any equipment

SitnStand Wheelchair Model Specifications:

  • Total Weight: 8.8 lbs (4 kg) including memory foam
  • Weight Capacity: 400 lbs (180 kg)
  • Memory Foam: 2-inch viscoelastic foam for pressure relief

  • Lift Height: Up to 8 inches in approximately 2.7-inch increments (3 levels)

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 4 days with typical usage. For wheelchair users who transfer multiple times daily (bed to chair, toilet transfers, etc.), you might need to charge every 2-3 days. Charging takes approximately 6 hours with the included wall charger (100-240V compatible).

Complete wheelchair package includes:

  • SitnStand Wheelchair cushion with 2-inch memory foam base
  • Battery - Rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack
  • Charger - Universal wall adapter with 39" cable (100-240V compatible)
  • Air supply unit with wheelchair-specific threading system
  • Remote control with 3-level inflation control
  • Adjustable securing straps for various wheelchair widths
  • User manual with wheelchair-specific instructions
  • 2-year full warranty on all components

The device accommodates wheelchairs 17-21 inches wide, including:

  • Manual wheelchairs (standard and lightweight)
  • Power wheelchairs (with accessible seat areas)
  • Transport chairs and travel wheelchairs
  • Reclining wheelchairs (with accessible seat threading)
  • Most bariatric wheelchairs within the weight capacity

Yes! The 2-inch memory foam provides pressure relief for extended sitting, potentially reducing the need for frequent repositioning. The cushion contours to your body, reducing pressure points that can lead to discomfort or skin issues. When you do need to adjust position, the lift function makes it easier to shift weight or stand briefly.

Optimal positioning:

  • Wheelchair perpendicular to transfer target (bed, toilet, chair)
  • Close proximity to minimize reaching or stretching
  • Level surface - avoid slopes or uneven ground
  • Adequate space for standing and pivoting
  • Clear path free of rugs, cords, or obstacles

Important restrictions:

  • Never transfer without locking brakes
  • Don't attempt transfers on slopes or uneven surfaces
  • Avoid leaning forward excessively during inflation
  • Don't use if wheelchair shows wear or damage
  • Don't attempt repairs - contact support for issues

Instead of caregivers providing physical lifting assistance (risking back injury), they can help position the device and let you stand more independently. This significantly reduces manual handling requirements while maintaining your dignity and autonomy. Caregivers can focus on safety spotting rather than heavy lifting.

The wheelchair model dramatically reduces manual lifting during transfers. Instead of physically lifting or supporting someone's full weight, caregivers can assist with positioning and safety while the device provides the lifting force. This reduces back strain and injury risk for family caregivers and professional staff.

Absolutely. The device supports zero-lift policies in healthcare facilities by reducing manual lifting requirements. Professional caregivers can use it to assist multiple residents while reducing their own injury risk. The medical-grade construction and easy cleaning make it suitable for institutional use.

Users need to understand basic transfer safety and remote operation. For mild cognitive impairment, supervision during setup and reminders about safety procedures usually work well. For more significant cognitive challenges, caregivers should control the device operation while the user still benefits from the physical assistance.

Start gradually with supervision. Many wheelchair users have developed learned helplessness around transfers due to difficulty or fear of falling. Begin with low lift settings, ensure safety backup, and gradually build confidence. The psychological benefits of regained transfer independence often motivate continued use.

Not recommended for hygiene reasons. The memory foam cushion and fabric surfaces make sharing problematic from an infection control standpoint. Each user should have their own device, though the cost-effectiveness compared to lift equipment or injury risks makes individual devices worthwhile for facilities.

Please consider our Professional version in this situation.

Absolutely - this is the ideal use case. Many wheelchair users retain some walking ability but use chairs for energy conservation, balance issues, or endurance limitations. The lift assist helps bridge the gap, making it easier to stand for short distances, transfers, or specific activities while maintaining wheelchair mobility for longer distances.

The device is designed for users with reduced strength in arms, core, or legs. The 100% lift assistance means you don't need to push up with your arms or have strong core muscles. The vertical lift technology keeps you stable during the transition, and the memory foam provides a stable base to sit back down safely.

Primary conditions that benefit:

  • Spinal cord injuries (incomplete injuries with some leg function)
  • Multiple sclerosis with fluctuating mobility
  • Inclusion Body Myositis and other inflammatory muscle conditions
  • Muscle weakness from neuromuscular diseases
  • Lower limb amputation (single or bilateral with prosthetics)
  • Arthritis affecting hips, knees, and mobility
  • Post-surgical recovery (hip, knee, back surgery)
  • Parkinson's disease with mobility challenges
  • Stroke recovery with partial leg function

The device is designed for users who retain some leg function and can bear weight when standing. For complete spinal cord injuries without leg function, this device would not be appropriate. It's ideal for incomplete injuries where leg function is limited but present, or for conditions where wheelchair use is for endurance/balance rather than complete paralysis.

Yes, in several ways:

  • Memory foam reduces pressure points that can lead to skin breakdown
  • Easier position changes throughout the day reduce static positioning
  • Facilitates brief standing which improves circulation and bone density
  • Reduces transfer difficulty encouraging more frequent position changes
  • Improves overall mobility which benefits multiple body systems

Perfect for fluctuating abilities. On good days, you might use minimal lift assistance; on challenging days, you can use full lift support. The device adapts to your daily needs without requiring different equipment or setups. This flexibility reduces anxiety about unpredictable symptom changes.

For users reconditioning after illness, surgery, or injury, the device provides a safe way to practice transfers and brief standing. The graduated lift levels allow progressive rehabilitation - starting with maximum assistance and gradually reducing support as strength improves. This supports both physical recovery and confidence building.

Current pricing: $599 (regularly $699). This includes the complete system: wheelchair cushion with memory foam, lift mechanism, battery, charger, remote, and securing straps. 2-year full warranty and 60-day satisfaction guarantee with free shipping and returns.

Limited coverage may be available. Medicare Part B covers some wheelchair cushions (K codes) for pressure relief and seat lift mechanisms (E0627/E0985) when medically necessary. Since this device combines both functions, partial coverage might be possible with proper documentation and physician prescription.

For potential Medicare coverage:

  • Face-to-face physician evaluation documenting medical necessity
  • Prescription specifying the device for wheelchair mobility and transfer assistance
  • Certificate of Medical Necessity (CMN) form completion
  • Documentation of medical condition requiring both pressure relief and transfer assistance
  • Proof of wheelchair use as primary mobility device

We offer flexible payment plans through Affirm based on your purchasing power, allowing you to split the purchase into manageable monthly installments. The 60-day satisfaction guarantee lets you try it risk-free. HSA/FSA funds may be used if prescribed for medical necessity.

Most users find significant value. Compared to hospital beds ($2,000+), patient lifts ($1,500+), or multiple caregiver visits, the device often pays for itself in increased independence and reduced care costs. The dual function (comfort cushion + lift assist) provides additional value compared to single-purpose devices.

I had a wheelchair lift for about 2 years & it had a problem. After being frustrated by the amount of time it was taking to provide info for warranty application, I just ordered a new one. When it was delivered, it didn't work either. I have tried every day for 2 weeks to get help from Rebecca & she won't even return my phone calls.
